DMRS Units
DMRS provides the following services:
- Asylum
- Family Reunification
- Services for Crime Victims
- Citizenship
- Trial/Removal Defense
- Religious Immigration
- Refugee Resettlement/Pastoral Care
- Unaccompanied Minors Program
DMRS conducts consultations for the following units on a first come, first served basis:
Deferred Action: Mondays thru Thursdays
Residency: Mondays thru Thursdays
Renewal of Residency: Only on Thursdays
Citizenship: Every Monday and Fridays
Trial Unit: Monday thru Thursdays before 11:30 a.m.
DMRS offers a grant for legal services to low income families residing in Texas. Please provide the following documents on the day of the consultation.
- Most recent utility receipts of water, electricity, and gas
- Rent receipts or rental contract
- Housing Contract if you live in a Housing Complex
- Income tax forms from the most recent fiscal year
- Two months of check stubs for every person who is employed in the household
- If you or someone who lives in the house receives SSI, retirement, disability benefits, workers’ compensation, please bring a letter explaining the benefits dated the current year
- If you or someone who lives in the house receives public benefits such as food stamps and/or TANF, please bring a benefits letter from the Texas Department of Human Services stating the monthly amount of public benefit received
